When the sun sets over the unobstructed Roanoke Sound, the view seems to stretch forever while reflecting upon the water for miles.
An amazing way to end your day and start your evening, our sunset cruise lets you take in the full beauty of the Outer Banks. As we pass many of the islands that comprise the Roanoke Sound, you’ll notice that they’re teeming with wildlife.
Our sunset cruise, filled with so much to see, is a fun, relaxing and breathtaking experience you shouldn't miss.
Many of our local bird species also like to make their way home during the waning hours making this a birdwatchers delight.
We’ll also watch the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin play in their natural habitat as the sun slowly creeps towards the horizon for its grand finale.
You’ll also be able to see the full beauty of a Outer Banks sunset, while the Bodie Island Lighthouse lights up for her nightly duties.
All of our Captains are licensed and both the Kokomo and Chief Wanchese are Coast Guard approved every year.
The Kokomo is our 40 foot, 40 passenger catamaran that has hosted our famous dolphin cruises over the years.
Built in 2016, Chief Wanchese is designed specifically for touring the scenic waters of the Roanoke Sound.
Took the Sunset Cruise tonight on the Kokomo and it was fantastic! We always take some sort of dolphin cruise when visiting the beach and this was by far the best one we've ever done. The crew was very knowledgable and super friendly. The sunset cruise is a must do while visiting the OBX.
We had such a wonderful sunset tour tonight. We saw so many dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset. I highly recommend this tour and the captain and mate were great.
My family is looking forward to our summer vacation on the Outer Banks...and one of the things we have already scheduled is our evening aboard the KOKOMO to watch the dolphins. We all LOVE the sunset cruise and then an evening out to dinner. What a wonderful and relaxing way to spend the evening. Everyone from my parents (ages 83 and 79) to my nephew (age 10) look forward to this time together! THANKS FOR HELPING TO MAKE GREAT MEMORIES.

My husband and I went on the sunset cruise. The trip included families with young children. It was a terrific experience. Capt. Jay and Andrew were great guides and related to all onboard with stories and info. We saw dolphins in their natural habitat, feeding, wrestling and jumping. It is a great adventure!
This was a really great tour for my family. We took a Saturday evening sunset tour, and got the opportunity to see lots of dolphins. The captain found the perfect location for us to spot the dolphins, and take lots of great pictures and videos. The captain and first mate were both knowledgeable and entertaining and helped make for a truly wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a unique experience while in the Outer Banks!
We had a very fun sunset cruise today on the Kokomo. We saw so many dolphins, lots of birds and wonderful scenery with a beautiful sunset to end it all. The Captain and his mate were very personable and funny. A great time was had by all. We saw so many more dolphins than I expected and our boat stayed out much longer than the other dolphin boats. This is definitely the best tour to take!
